The Pride Association of Southeast Alberta is pleased to announce that Medicine Hat Pride Week is back for 2021!

There are events taking place throughout the second week of September, culminating in an all-day Medicine Hat Pride Week on Saturday, September 11th. This all-day event is being held on the Medicine Hat Exhibition & Stampede grounds.

Admission is 100% free and includes access to a wide range of fun activities and events.

Taking place from 11:00 am until 6:00 pm on the 11th, the 2021 Pride Week line up includes events for people of all ages, so children are more than welcome to attend.

This year, attendees can expect bouncy castles, pony hops, food trucks, live music, a sunshine trolley, a roller derby demo, and arts and crafts, such as decorating your own bike bell and making your own button.

The specific schedule of events has been posted. Saturday kicks off with the grand opening at 11:00 am, which is followed by a live performance by the Cannonball Knights, an amateur drag show, a tone belly dance, the Gas City Roller Derby Demo, and finally, some live music courtesy of DJ Dave Ross.

Beyond the free Pride Week events taking place on Saturday, September 11th, there are also several adults-only events taking place throughout the weekend. For example, there is a Tribute Disco taking place on Friday, September 10th at 8:00 pm ($5 cover), a Drag Show by Cabaret Calgary on the Stampede Grounds on September 11th ($10 cover), and an exclusive Pride After Dark Event, also taking place on the Stampede Grounds on September 11th but at 8pm ($15 cover).

What are you waiting for? Come out and celebrate Medicine Hat’s local LGBTQ2S+ community at this year’s Medicine Hat Pride Week.

If you’re going to be in Medicine Hat over the September 11th and 12th weekend, then be sure to attend this Pride Week event. And if you need a place to stay during your trip, we’d love to have you at the Days Inn Medicine Hat. The Days Inn Medicine Hat combines a welcoming atmosphere and budget-friendly rates with family-friendly amenities.
